ChuckH makes a good point, the V7 is (IMHO) a bit small if you are going to carry camping/cooking stuff. Long distance touring is not a problem with the V7 if you get away from having to carry all that extra stuff. With that said, I plan to take my V7 camping soon but I'm only going about 150 miles.
