2011 BMW iDrive Knob Controller not working. I have 2011 BMW 528i Series model. Water got spillover close to iDrive Knob. At first "Press down" button didn't work and "Up-Down" scroller use to work. Very nextday Press down didn't work. Up-Down scroller stopped working. Waited 3 days expecting it will comeback by it's own. Unfortunately it did not!
Once done, I then used WinKFP to code "defaults" for the CAPPL, CAUDI, CHOST, CTUNE, and KLIMA using the VO from the LMA (could not use the VO from CAS as there was an error). Everything seemed to update normally but now my iDrive wheel does not work, just spins/no resistance, and my AC stays on with the little green LED on the button 3. That is a reboot (not a reset) but it also does not work on my wifes F15 (while it does on my 2016 435). Are you trying to reboot, or rest your idrive? I would characterize "reset" as erasing settings, and "hard reboot" as the equivilent of holding the power button on a laptop till it turns off. .
