In where I live I can get a second hand EF 16-35 f/4L IS under USD$600, while the RF 14-35 would cost me over USD$1900, which is more than what I paid for the RF 15-35. The closest alternative to the RF 15-35, the EF 16-35 f/2.8L III USM, is a fraction cheaper than the RF alternative.
